WHAT I WISH I'D LEARNED BEFORE TURNING 40

I was a professional dieter for most of my adult life. I became a dietitian, and then a naturopathic doctor, and LIVED the "food is medicine mantra" until my mid- 30's. Then, in the midst of life with 3 young children and a crazy busy practice, perimenopause came in like a wrecking ball. My body not only looked different, it felt different.
